Welcome to our website! We are here to make the renewal of your Illinois Cosmetic Art License easy, fast, and affordable so you can get on with your life.
We designed our courses to cover all of the subjects in the required proportions so you only need to complete one simple course to meet your continuing education requirements to renew your Illinois cosmetology, esthetician, or nail technician license. All of our courses for Illinois Salon Professionals meet the requirements of the new rules.
Effective April 1, 2012 licensees must: Maintain records of course title, description, date, address of location and number of hours earned. All licensees may be subject to audit and must provide records of course title, description, date, address of location and number of hours attended if requested by the Board. (All Board audits will review actual course attendance hours. Licensees must complete a minimum of 14 hours of CE per renewal period for cosmetology and 10 hours per renewal period for estheticians and manicurists.)
Ensure at least 50% of subject matter broadens the knowledge of the cosmetology profession (instructors - 10 hours of the required 24 hours must be in the subject area of teacher training techniques/and enhance the ability to communicate)
After completion of these requirements date and sign affirmation of course completion.
April 1, 2012 Illinois changed the laws regarding continuing education for license renewal. New regulations significantly change the administration of cosmetic art continuing education for the Board, licensees and providers. Course providers no longer need submit course applications, packets, lesson plans, schedules or attendee information directly to the Board.
